GRADUATION PRACTICE/LAPTOP TURN IN IS TODAY IN THE MAIN GYM AT 2:08-3:35
Any incoming 9th, 10th, 11th or 12th grade student interested in running cross country in the fall of 2021 please call, text or e-mail coach Mike Wynn – 574-575-0170, mwynn@goshenschools.org for more information. Our first summer practice on June 15th – 6:30 p.m. @ Shanklin Park Pavilion. Go RedHawks!
There will be summer hours in the learning commons during June! The learning commons will be open every morning that summer school meets, beginning next week on Tuesday. Hours will be 9:00am – 12:00pm. You don’t have to be a summer school student to use the learning commons during June – it’s open to all GHS students! Come in to check out books, take a break between music rehearsals or athletic practices and enjoy the air conditioning, or just to hang out. There will be also some scheduled activities that you can sign up for if you’re interested! Attention Wrestlers if you are attending the Team Camp in Michigan this summer you need to talk with Coach Pickard this week.
All students: There are still about 600 library books that haven’t been returned – please get those back today or tomorrow! Thanks!
Graduating Juniors and Seniors: If you have not received your Graduation tickets, see Mr. Perez in the main office at any time to get them
There is now extras available, it will be first come first serve but to make it civil and fair the maximum extra you can get is 3 tickets. Also, If you have picked up your tickets but do not plan to use them all, please come to the office and return unneeded tickets.
Thank you to everyone who has already picked up their cap and gown. Here are some things to know if you still need to pick up or place an order.

Attention Graduating Seniors!
This year there will be a limited number of senior laptops available for sale. We are asking Graduating Seniors who are interested in purchasing their laptop to come see the bookkeeper in the main office. The cost will be $75.00. The bookkeeper will start taking payments on May 24, 2021 and no sooner.
Attention Graduates:
The City of Goshen and the Goshen Tree Board want to recognize your accomplishments by offering you and your family a tree, which you may plant at your home, or another private site of your choosing.

Graduates signing up for a tree will receive it at Graduation Practice on May 27.
Summer School food program will start June 7th through the 24th. Breakfast will be available in the cafeteria from 7:30 until 8:30 and lunch will be offered from 11:30 until 12:30. GHS is also the home base for our summer foods program that runs through the end of July.
The Color Guard Spring Training and Auditions for ALL STUDENTS will begin May 11th at Goshen MIDDLE School. Auditions will be held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from May 11th – May 26th from 4pm-6pm. Meet in Mrs. Stoll’s room, 509. Dress in athletic clothes including tennis shoes with socks. Bring water. No prior experience necessary.
The Goshen Bands are looking for piano players! If you play piano and would like to play in our jazz bands we want to talk to you! Please contact Mr. Cox or Mr. Kaufman in the band room.
IN SPORTS ACTION TODAY:
Last night Goshen High School hosted the girls regional track and field meet. Several lady RedHawks qualified to compete from the sectional meet last week. Goshen saw:
– a 4×800 relay team of : Megan Gallagher, Britney Ortega, Rylee Weishaupt, and Nataly Esqueda
– a 4×400 relay team of: Camila Perez- Diener, Atzimba Diaz Solis, Avah DeVoe, and Lindsey Daniels
– Sasha Ramos in the Shot Put
– Nataly Esqueda in the 1600
Both relay teams set season bests, with the 4×400 relay knocking their best time down to 4:19.26 placing 8th overall.
SPORTS RESULTS:
The Goshen RedHawks claims victory over the Elkhart Lions in round 2 of the Sectional by a score of 8-1. Several RedHawk players had multiple hits for the night. Olivia Koshmider, Tyra Marcum, Reghan Yoder, and Klair Sweet each had 2 hits. Marcum and Yoder both had a triple and Koshmider added a double. Liz Ramirez earned the win in the circle by allowing just 5 hits, 1 run, 1 walk, and 10 strikeouts. Goshen will play Northridge on Friday night for the Sectional Championship at 7:00.
