Fall Play auditions will take place after school from 3:45-5:30 in the auditorium on Tuesday and Wednesday, September 7 and 8. You do not need to attend both days! Anyone can audition – no prior acting experience is necessary. French Club will have its first meeting of the year on Wednesday, September 8 during the 2nd session of SRT in room 1535. Any and all French students are welcome to join us for some French games and snacks. Hope to see you there!

Want to help end the stigma of mental health? If so, BC2M (Bring Change 2 Mind) is the club for you. BC2M’s goal is educate students and staff about mental health. We meet the first Thursday of the month during 2^nd session of SRT in the classroom of the learning commons. Bring a friend and come see what it’s about. Our first meeting is this Thursday Sept. 2. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. King or Ms. Embriz in the counseling office.

We will have conditioning opportunities for those not in a fall sport and interested in participating in track and field. The opportunities will be held Tuesday and Thursday form 4-5:30pm. We will meet in the weight room Sept 14,2021. If interested you will need documentation on file in the athletics office. Are you interested in science, technology, engineering or math? The Technology Student Association is the club for you! Join us during 2^nd session of SRT on Thursday, September 2 in room 1620 to learn how you can compete in  fun events at the state and national level.

The After Hours homework help has begun.  After school on Tuesday and Thursdays from 3:45-4:50 in the Cafeteria. Bussing will be available!

If you stay after school for the after school snacks they MUST be eaten in the cafeteria. They cannot leave the room.

If you are driving and parking in the school parking lot you need to see the bookkeeper in the main office to purchase a parking permit. In order to get one you will need to bring in proof of insurance, license and registration, and $5.00.

SRT MEETINGS:

Key Club will meet Thursday, Sept. 2 during Session 2 of SRT in the school cafeteria. Key Club is dedicated to helping raise funds to support charities and organizations that help people in need. Please join us on Sept. 2 during SRT to discuss a fundraiser for Riley Hospital.

SPORTS:

This Friday night the varsity football team hosts Mishawaka in our first NLC game of the year.  The team is 2-0 on the season and appreciates the nice crowd last Friday.  This Friday, we are very pleased to inform you that the Chief Wade Branson Foundation is paying the admission fee for all current GHS students who present their current school year ID at the gate.  Please remember your ID and let’s pack that student section!  The theme night will be announced soon.  Great job with Hawaiian night last Friday!

IN SPORTS ACTION TODAY:

The girls JV and Varsity golf teams will play against Wawasee HS at Maxwelton Golf Course starting at 5:00pm

SPORTS RESULTS:

The Goshen Girls Varsity soccer team defeated Warsaw at home 3-2 in a huge conference game for the Lady RedHawks. Two first half goals were scored by Alessandra Lozano, one of them assisted by Caylin Martinez. Miriam Ruiz Sanchez scored the game winning goal with just under 2 minutes remaining in the game. The RedHawks overall record now stands at 4-3 overall and 2-1 in the NLC. The Varsity plays at LaVille next Tuesday.
The JV team lost 2-1 to Warsaw and Brenda Diaz scored the only goal. The JV record is now 4-3 overall and 1-2 in the NLC. The JV plays at Penn on Tuesday.

A 5-0 win for the RedHawks in a conference match against Warsaw. Pi Wellington, Joel Byler and Carter Schmucker only lost one game. JV won 9-1. Kyan Miller went 6-0, 6-0.
