This is week 2 of the Month of Compassion Food and Coat Drive.  For four weeks, students and staff can help others through their donations of coats, hats, gloves, canned foods and other non-perishable items.  All donations will benefit students of Goshen Community Schools.  Donated items can be brought to school from NOW until November 22nd.  The prize this week is sponsored by the Multicultural Youth Alliance Club, and will be award to the SRT classroom with the most donations on Thursday.

IHSAA Student-Athlete Tip of the Week:  There are many benefits of having a positive outlook.  It’s helpful in the in the classroom, in your sports endeavors and in life in general.  In my experience as an athlete and coaching student-athletes, I know that having an upbeat, positive attitude can lift other people around you.  You may be frustrated at times, but if your overall mindset is positive, you will move on quicker than your teammates and opponents.  Your emotions show up when least expected.  If high performance is your goal, then embrace the fact that positive emotions plays a more important role than most student-athletes realize. Conquering your emotions will help you attain greater success in every walk of life!

If you missed Herff Jones, they will return on November 15th from 7:45-8:15 a.m. to take cap and gown/graduation orders.

We will no longer be issuing Temporary IDs.  Every student must be wearing a plastic ID card at all times.  New cards will be sold for $1 each.  If you do not have $1, your name will be added to a list.  You will still be responsible for paying that $1 within a week of receiving it to Mrs. Wolfe in the Main Office, otherwise you must serve a detention.  Mrs. Wolfe will notify those students who have not paid for their ID’s the day before their scheduled detention.  Lanyards will still be $1 if they wish to purchase one.  If not, your ID will be given to you on a piece of string.

Please stop by the commons area outside the main office during lunch if you are interested is speaking to the following:

  • Wednesday Hesston College
