IHSAA Student-Athlete Tip of the Week: After 12 seasons and winning 2 Super Bowls, New York Giants coach Tom Coughlin retired last week. His outgoing speech to the media was how deeply he felt about the importance of fostering team chemistry. Regardless of what sport you play or at what level you are participating, this quote about team and unity will apply to you. “My contention is there is a higher ground, a greater purpose. That purpose is team, it is the team concept. Winning, losing, playing hard, playing well, doing it for each other, winning the right way. That’s what motivates and inspires us. Championships are won by teams who love one another, who love and respect one another, who play for and support one another.”
There will be no boys soccer open play tonight. The next open play is on Thursday from 8:00-9:30 p.m. in the main gym. Boys soccer open play is open to any student. In order to be able to play, you must have a physical on file in the athletic office.
