Super Mileage Club will have a call out meeting TODAY at 3:40 p.m. in room 8010. All interested students need to attend this meeting.
Students, if you are driving to school you must get a parking tag. Officer Johnson will start checking vehicles this week. Bring your license, current registration, current insurance and $5 to Mrs. Haney, the bookkeeper.

Herff Jones will be here during lunch on August 31st and after school that day until 6:00 p.m. to take class ring, cap and gown, and senior orders in the commons area.

The Ultimate Frisbee Club meets after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:45-5:00 p.m. on the administration field. If you’re interested in learning how to play the sport of Ultimate Frisbee, you can pick up your required paperwork from Mr. Snyder in the choir office, Mr. Brubaker, Lucas Kauffman, or Mrs. Stealy in the main office. The paperwork should be turned in to Lucas Kauffman the first time you attend.
MEETINGS DURING SRT:
Juniors: You will meet in the auditorium TODAY during the 1st session of SRT for a drug education session. You will report to your SRT first for attendance.
There will be a call out meeting TODAY for any girl interested in playing softball. We will meet during the 2nd session of SRT Whiteman gym.
Sophomores: You will meet in the auditorium TODAY during the 2nd session of SRT for a drug education session. You will report to your SRT first for attendance.
The first NHS meeting of the year will be held TODAY during the 2nd session of SRT in the Main Gym. See you then!
There will be a Key Club call out meeting TODAY during the 2nd session of SRT in the cafeteria. If you are thinking about joining Key Club or would like to know more, plan to attend. Students cannot be “signed out” for club or team meetings during SRT, so you will need to report to the meeting when the bell rings and attendance will be taken there.
Student Council will meet on Thursday during the 2nd session of SRT in the auditorium.
The German Club will meet on Tuesday, August 30th during the 2nd session of SRT in Whiteman.
The first French Club meeting for the 2016-17 school year will be held on Tuesday, August 30th during the 2nd session of SRT in room 2430.
The first regular Key Club meeting will be on Thursday, September 1st in the cafeteria during the 2nd session of SRT. This meeting is for current and new Key Club members.
SPORTS SCORES:
The boys JV football team beat Fairfield, 27-12. Deven Love had two touchdown receptions. Jack Immel had two touchdown passes. Liam Morales had a rushing touchdown. Jack Immel had a rushing touchdown. Austin Prince led the offensive line. Defensive leaders were Ian Hochstetler and Noah Shively. Taylor Meikle, Jesse Rhodes and Hewitt Nafziger had a fumble recovery.
The boys tennis team improved their winning streak to three matches with a 4-1 victory over Elkhart Central. Simon Myers had his 2nd double bagel of the season at 3 singles. Hugh Birky at 2 singles joins Myers as undefeated in the young season. The JV improved to 2-0 behind wins from Wes Beck, Mitchell Yoder, Austin Peeler, Drake Crowder, Ben Bontrager-Singer, Wyatt Fisher, Braxton Kincaid and Josh Haimes.
The Lady RedHawks were back in action last night after a week lay-off due to weather. They hosted Wawasee at Black Squirrel Golf Course. Wawasee won the match 210-250. Goshen was led with a 59 from Olivia Thomas, 60 from Olivia Lehr and a 62 from Katie Kercher. Grace Hernley’s 69 and Sophia Chupp’s 71 rounded out the scoring for the Lady RedHawks.
The Goshen girls soccer team came out strong in their first NLC match of the season last night defeating Elkhart Memorial 6-1. Aylissa Trosper had her second hat trick in a row to set the pace for the offense. Freshmen twins Hailey and Regan Mast both scored their first varsity goals along with junior Noelia Calderon. Priscila Flores, Aniya Hartzler, Hannah Kurtz and Maggie Gallagher assisted on the goals. The JV team defeated Elkhart Memorial 10-0. Jocelyn Guevara and Lauren Murphy each had hat tricks for the RedHawks. Also scoring for Goshen were Mia Mayorga, Jocelyn Valderama and Joana Regalado.
IN SPORTS ACTION TODAY:
The girls freshman volleyball team will host New Prairie and Concord at 5:00 p.m.
The boys JV and varsity soccer teams will compete at Westview. JV starts at 5:00 p.m., followed by varsity at 6:45 p.m.
The girls JV and varsity volleyball teams will play at South Bend Riley. JV starts at 6:00 p.m., followed by varsity at 7:00 p.m.
