IHSAA Student-Athlete Tip of the Week “Promoting education based athletics in Indiana” Swimmer Lilly King (IHSAA state champion from Evansville and Olympic gold medal winner) has been a headliner in the national news. While her two gold medals have been part of the conversation, it’s been more about her comments and firm beliefs about athletes cheating by using performance enhancing drugs. She believes in fair play. Despite her young age and participating in the Olympics for the first time, she stood up for what’s right! Then she backed it up by winning the gold medals. There’s so much to be said about doing things the right way and following the rules. Next time you think about taking a shortcut or doing something knowingly wrong, think again. Someone will eventually call you out!
