The City of Goshen and the Goshen Tree Board want to recognize your accomplishments by offering you and your family a tree, which you may plant at your home, or another private site of your choosing.

Summer School Registration is open now until May 14th. All summer classes will be offered in-person either at GHS or Merit Learning Center. There will be on APEX and teacher-led courses available, as well as PE. There will be no options to complete classes virtually from home.
Students interested in completing a class this summer should contact their counselor to get more information or follow the steps on the 2021 GHS/Merit Summer School information page to get access to the Summer School Enrollment form.
It is time for the annual GHS Prom Dress Drive. The purpose of this drive is to provide free dresses for students who want to go to the prom but may be in financial need. We have several dresses in various styles and sizes to choose from. If you are in need of a prom dress or if you wish to donate a gently used dress, please contact Mrs. Hershberger in Room 3260 (rrhershberger@staff.goshenschools.org) or Mrs. Shakley in Room 2255 (tshakley@staff.goshenschools.org). You may also email or ask one of your teachers to help you get in contact with one of us.
SPORTS:
Spring sports have started and the fan attendance plan is by venue. At track & field at Foreman Field, tennis, golf, JV baseball at the Little League and V/JV softball at Shanklin, there are no capacity limits but all Covid protocols must be followed to attend, including wearing a face covering at all times. For baseball played at Phend Field, we do have to restrict to 4 fans/rostered player.
The Indiana All-Stars vs Junior All Stars game will be played at Brownsburg High School on Wednesday, June 9, 2021. The doors will open at 5:00 PM with the girls game starting at 6:00 PM. Please enter Door 14. Tickets are $8.00 and can be purchase athttps://indallstar.eventbrite.com/. There will be no tickets sold at the door and only available online in advanced.
The 2021 Indiana vs Kentucky All Star Basketball Game will be played at the Owensboro Sportscenter in Owensboro, Kentucky on Friday, June 11, 2021. The doors will open at TBD with the girls game starting at TBD. Tickets information will be available at a later date.
The 2021 Indiana vs Kentucky All Star Basketball Game will be played at the Southport Fieldhouse on Saturday, June 12, 2021. The doors will open at 4:00 PM with the girls game starting at 5:00 PM. SPORTS RESULTS:
The Goshen Varsity Softball Team knocked in 7 runs in the second inning on its way to a 12-2 victory over Plymouth. Klair Sweet Olivia Koshmider, Liz Ramirez, and Tyra Marcum each had 2 hits. Tyra Marcum and Liz Ramirez each drove in 4 runs on the evening. Marcum hit a 2 run dinger and Ramirez hit a triple with bases loaded. Olivia Koshmider broke the school record for Most Stolen Bases in a Season with 28. Kareena Ulfig went the distance and earned the win in the circle. The RedHawks resume play on Friday at Concord for a 5:00 start
The RedHawks JV played an exciting back-and-forth game at Plymouth on Wednesday night. Goshen scored four runs in the first inning to take the early lead before losing the lead in the 4th inning, and eventually losing 9-7. Goshen had the bases loaded with no outs and was able to score once in the 7th inning before two strikeouts and a pop out to end the game.
Leading the offense for the RedHawks was Damian Castillo who went 3-for-3 with a walk and two RBI. Gage Worthman drove in three runs on a double and a groundout. Isaiah Park, Myles McLaughlin, and Laish Detwiler also hit singles. Park stole three bases and pitched an inning of relief. Caelan Miller pitched five solid innings on the mound, striking out four.
Goshen JV’s game versus Concord on Friday has been cancelled due to COVID issues with Concord’s JV. Goshen plays a double-header on Saturday at Angola, with Game 1 being played as a JV game and Game 2 as a C game. First game begins at 9am Saturday.
The Goshen RedHawks (12-10, 6-5 NLC) got back on track offensively on Wednesday night defeating the Plymouth Pilgrims by a score of 14-10. Noah Meikle pitched 4.2 innings of relief to pick up the win in a slugfest game.
Mitch Daniels started the game on the mound for the RedHawks but was unable to contain the Plymouth bats. Noah Meikle came in and only gave up 3 hits and 2 earned runs in his efforts. Thomas Castillo came in to record a 1 pitch save. Quinn Bechtel came in off the bench to record a diving catch for the games final out.
The offense had a lot of heavy contributors on the evening. Thomas Castillo led the team with 5 runs. He was 2-2 with a triple, 2 walks and a hit by pitch. Noah Alford went 2-4 at the plate and Reece Fisher went 1-2.
The RedHawks are back in action on Thursday when they host an out of conference matchup with the Marian Knights. That game is set to start at 5:30pm at Phend Field
IN SPORTS ACTION TODAY:
The girls Varsity tennis team will play the second round of the NLC at Concord starting at 4:30pm
The boys JV and Varsity golf teams will play Concord and Northridge HS at Meadow Valley Golf Club starting at 5:00pm
The Unified Track and Field team will head to Warsaw HS to compete in the Warsaw Invitational starting at 5:30pm
