SPORTS NEWS:

 

  • None to announce

 

 

 

 

IN SPORTS ACTION TODAY:

  • The girls’ freshman basketball team will travel to play against Mishawaka HS. Game begins at 6pm.
  • The boys’ freshman basketball team will travel to play against Mishawaka HS. Game begins at 7:15pm

 

 

 

SPORTS RESULTS:

  • The JV Lady RedHawks defeated John Adams High School by a final score of 42-20. Goshen was led in scoring by Kaelyn Marcum with 14 points, Grace Kercher 10 points, and Morgan Priebe 8 points. The Lady RedHawks are back in action next Tuesday, at home against Columbia City. JV is set to tipoff at 6:00 with Varsity to follow.

 

  • The Lady RedHawks lost 48-36 on the road to South Bend Adams in a hard fought battle to the very end. The lady RedHawks were led by Juniors Sarah Harmelink and Breyana Cline with 11 points, soph Kyra Hill added 8 pts, senior Brooklynn Collins 3 pts, junior Briana Valderrama 2 pts and Junior Meggy VanHooser with 1 pt in the loss. The RedHawks will be back in action Tuesday night at home vs Columbia City with JV set to tip-off at 6:00. Great effort tonight Hawks!!!

 

Club Meetings         

 

  • The deadline for turning in ski club registration is Tuesday, 11/22.  Please turn in all paperwork and money to Mrs. Clark in room 2515.

 

 

General School Info/Job Opportunities 

 

  • After school tutoring next Tuesday on 11/23/21 will be cancelled.

 

  • The freshmen and sophomore classes are having a fundraiser on Monday November 22nd from 5-8 PM. Come get dinner at the new Culver’s on Elkhart Road. The proceeds from the fundraiser will go towards graduation and prom. Hope to see you there!

  • Jostens has extended the due date for cap and gown orders.  The price will go up for orders received after December 15th.  Jostens will be back to GHS on Thursday, December 2ndduring SRT for the last in-person order day before the prices go up.

  • Students and Staff, a Thanksgiving meal will be served on Tuesday, the 23rd.

The meal will be a traditional roast turkey with stuffing, mashed potatoes, green beans, rolls and pumpkin roll.  We will NOT be serving any other options that day!!

 

  • Seniors: A scholarship list is available on Canvas and has been updated weekly. Please make sure to check out the GHS Counseling Office page and select Moduleson the left hand side. The list will appear on the very top and has the websites/PDF files linked. If you do not have access, please let Ms. Embriz (lembriz@goshenschools.org) know.

 

  • SAT/ACT: Interested in taking the SAT or ACT? Make sure to check the deadlines for registration at their respective websites (collegeboard.orgor www.act.org). You will need to create an account if you do not have one already and complete the registration.

Music News    

 

  • The GHS musical this year is Guys and Dolls! If you have ever thought you might be interested in being on stage, learning to dance and sing, making new friends, and stretching your entertaining skills, this is the show for you! Auditions are December 2nd and 3rd after school. If you have any questions, get in touch with Ms. O’Leary via email (koleary@goshenschools.org) or reach out to people you know who have been in shows in the past. This is a GREAT show for people who have been thinking “Hmmmm, maybe I want to try it out!” We know you’ll love it!

 

  • Goshen Winter Guard auditions will be November 29th and November 30that Prarieview Elementary from 6pm-9pm.  Enter Door P. Wear black leggings and a black t-shirt.  Bring a water bottle
