GHS ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR FRIDAY, OCTOBER 30, 2020
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Here is this week’s GTV: https://youtu.be/duNnklUfN9M
On Wednesday, November 4th, we will be configuring a policy that will automatically block personal devices from using the GCS-Net and GCSiPad2 wireless networks. These two networks are setup for district owned devices, personal devices should be connected to GCS-BYOD.
To connect your personal device to GCS-BYOD simply navigate to the Wi-Fi settings on that device and select GCS-BYOD. You will then be prompted for a username and password which will be the same credentials you use to login to your school laptop. Your username will be the first part of your email address (rlambdin) without the part after the @ symbol and your password will be the same password you use to login to your computer and skyward. If you need help connecting your device to BYOD please come down to the CPR room or Tech office for assistance.
If your device was previously connected to GCS-Net or GCSiPad2 you’ll want to make sure to have your device forget those network settings. The link below contains directions for how to remove those settings on Android, iOS, and Windows 10 Mobile.

GHS will hold its Fall Red Cross Blood Drive on Friday, November 13 from 8:00-2:00. Donor sign-ups are beginning this week! You must be 16 years old to donate. Please see Mrs. Wohlford in room 3215 or email cwohlford@staff.goshenschools.org if you are interested in donating.
Nurse Wendy is available to answer any questions regarding Covid-19 between the hours of 8am-8pm Monday-Friday and on Sundays. If you email her during other times of the day, please expect an answer after 8am. If you are unsure if you should come to school, please do not come to school until you have heard back from Nurse Wendy.
MEETINGS DURING SRT:
Are you interested in making GHS a safer, more just place for all students? The Equity and Inclusion Council needs feedback from YOU to know how to improve the school system for all people regardless of identity. We want to hear honest input from students about their experiences in school, and we want to make changes based on what you say. Conversations will take place during SRT on 11/5, 11/12, 11/19. If you are interested, please sign up here!
Are you looking for another extracurricular? Do you enjoy helping others? Key Club is starting up again this year! Key Club is a club where you can participate in many activities and service opportunities that positively affect your school and community. It is a great chance to meet other leaders and looks great on college applications! Applications are outside of room 2210 and should be turned in by November 20th along with an $18 club fee. After the 20th, the due will be $20. If you are interested in becoming a Class Representative, plan on attending the first meeting which is November 5. It will be 2nd session and we will meet in the main gym on the upper deck. The meeting is open to members and non-members. Hope to see you there.
SCHOLARSHIPS:
The Delta Theta Chi Sorority Scholarship is available in the student counseling office. Due: 2/1/21
Some colleges have a November 1st deadline for admissions and scholarships. If you are applying to a school that needs your transcript by 11/1, your transcript request needs to be turned in to the School Counseling office by the end of the school day on Friday, October 30th (3:35 pm). This allows for adequate processing time. Requests made after this deadline will NOT guarantee that your early admissions process is complete by the school’s designated date.
