Coach V, Coach Graber, and Soccer Staffs Honored
Goshen High School is proud to announce that head girls soccer Coach Dan Graber and head boys soccer Coach Viratham Mounsithiraj have been honored by the Indiana Soccer Coaches Association as the District 2 Coach of the Year. Coach Graber and Coach Mounsithiraj are each the winningest head coach in Goshen High School soccer history for their gender sport.
Coach Graber is in his 13th season and has compiled a career record of 149-69-20, with 2 NLC championships, 3 sectional championships, and 1 regional championship. Coach Mounsithiraj is in his 11th season and has compiled a record of 124-56-22 with 2 NLC championships, 4 sectional championships, 2 regional championships, and 1 semistate championship.
Both coaches credit their staffs for this latest recognition. The girls staff includes: Varsity assistant: Kari Wildman, JV coaches: Tracy Swain and Yaneth Springer. The boys staff includes: Varsity assistant: Joe Sabo, JV coaches: Myron Bontreger and Matt Bjorkland. Congratulations to Coach Graber and Coach V, and the entire staff and all the players for this recognition.
The boys travel to Warsaw this Saturday to play #1 ranked and undefeated Chesterton HS in the semistate semifinals at 10 AM. The girls travel to South Bend St. Joseph HS on Saturday to play FW Carroll at noon in their semistate semifinal. Both championship games are scheduled for 7 PM.
