SPORTS NEWS:

 

• On Saturday, the boys’ basketball team will host Laville.  Interra Credit Union is sponsoring free attendance that night for GHS students who show their current school year ID.  Come see the boys play this Saturday. THE JV starts at 6 Pm with the Varsity game to follow.

 

 

 

IN SPORTS ACTION TODAY:

• The JV and Varsity Co-ed swimming teams will host Plymouth and Northridge HS at GJHS starting at 5:30pm
• The Freshman girls basketball team will play Wawasee HS at Wawasee starting at 6:15pm
• The Freshman boys basketball team will play Plymouth HS at Plymouth starting at 6:45pm
• The JV and Varsity wrestling teams will face Warsaw HS at Warsaw starting at 6:45pm

Club Meetings        

 

 

 

• French Club will hold their Christmas meeting Monday, December 6th during the 2^ndsession of SRT in room 1535. We will explore Christmas traditions in France and share gifts with others. Feel free to sign up using the SRT program or just show up. Hope to see you there! -Mlle Mack

 

• Key Club will meet today, Dec. 2nd during S2 SRT in the auditorium. Destiny Rescue will be presenting ways that our club can help rescue children who are enslaved around the world.

 

• BC2M (Bring Change 2 Mind) meets today, Dec. 2 during 2^ndsession of SRT. We meet in the classroom of the learning commons. BC2M focuses on educating and promoting positive mental health at GHS. • Jostens has extended the due date for cap and gown orders.  The price will go up for orders received after December 15^th.  Jostens will be back to GHS on Thursday, December 2^ndduring SRT for the last in-person order day before the prices go up.

• Seniors: A scholarship list is available on Canvas and has been updated weekly. Please make sure to check out the GHS Counseling Office page and select Moduleson the left hand side. The list will appear on the very top and has the websites/PDF files linked. If you do not have access, please let Ms. Embriz (lembriz@goshenschools.org) know.

 

• SAT/ACT: Interested in taking the SAT or ACT? Make sure to check the deadlines for registration at their respective websites (collegeboard.orgor www.act.org). You will need to create an account if you do not have one already and complete the registration.

 

• PE Bowling

 

All GHS PE and FIT classes please make sure you have your bowling permission slip turned in by the time we leave for the bowling alley this week on Thursday and Friday.  Remember that you need to bring $5 dollars for each trip to the bowling alley.

• The GHS musical this year is Guys and Dolls! If you have ever thought you might be interested in being on stage, learning to dance and sing, making new friends, and stretching your entertaining skills, this is the show for you! Auditions are December 2nd and 3rd after school. If you have any questions, get in touch with Ms. O’Leary via email (koleary@goshenschools.org) or reach out to people you know who have been in shows in the past. This is a GREAT show for people who have been thinking “Hmmmm, maybe I want to try it out!” We know you’ll love it!
