GHS ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR TUESDAY, OCTOBER 6, 2020

 

 

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

When we resume our normal SRT schedule, clubs will be allowed to begin in person meetings during 2nd session of SRT.  Check with your club sponsor about your meetings.  These will begin on 10/13.

 

IB exam registrations need to be turned in to Mrs. Dorn in the main office this week! Questions? Ask you IB teacher, Mr. Nichols, or Mrs. Collins.

 

Are you interested in STEM projects? Do you want to compete across the state and nation in engineering challenges? Then TSA is for you!
The Technology Student Association (TSA) enhances personal development, leadership, and career opportunities in STEM, whereby members apply and integrate these concepts through intracurricular activities, competitions, and related programs – and looks great on college and scholarship applications. The GHS TSA club is sponsored by Mrs. Yoder and meets the 1st Tuesday of every month in room 1620. SPORTS:

Sports Results:

  • The GHS RedHawks boys’ varsity soccer team lost in the first game of sectionals on Monday, October 5 to the Elkhart High School Lions, by a score of 1-4. Fernando Quevedo scored for the RedHawks. The loss brings the varsity’s final record to 8-7-2 on the season, and 3-3-1 in the NLC.

In Sports Action Today:

  • The boys’ Varsity tennis team will compete in Regionals against Westview High School at Concord High School starting at 5:00PM.
  • The JV and Varsity girls’ volleyball team will compete against Bethany Christian at Bethany Christian High School starting at 5:30PM. The Varsity game to follow at 7:00PM.
  • The girls’ Varsity soccer team will compete in Sectionals against Northridge High School at Elkhart West Campus (formerly Elkhart Memorial) starting at 6:00PM.

 

For athletic hub:  check with the athletic department if you need a bus ride to school for practice.
