GCS needs every middle and high school student to have a daily self-assessment agreement on file, signed by a parent or guardian. These can be filled out and emailed to wswallow@goshenschools.org or kbeck@goshenschools.org. They can also be printed and sent in to GMS or GHS.
Anyone interested in joining Drama Club: please email Ms. Pobocik (ppobocik@goshenschools.org) to let her know of your interest to join. We will likely hold a virtual meeting during the first week of September to discuss what drama club will look like this year as well as update on performances, activities, and get to know one another. Anyone is welcome to join – no acting or stage experience is necessary!
Interested in joining the Frisbee club? You can! Forms can be picked up from outside the athletic office, or from Lucas Kauffman. Turn all completed forms into Lucas Kauffman. Stay tuned for details on when the first meeting date will be. However, when the club starts meeting, it will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:45-5:00pm on the administration field across from door M. Books: If you have any books from last school year, please return those as soon as possible! This includes any books from your classes, teachers, or books from the Learning Commons (the old Media Center).

Students, if you are planning to attend college in the fall of 2021 please fill out this survey by Friday September 4th.

- The girls and boys cross country team had their first super dual meet last night competing against all NLC teams. The girls team lost to Mishawaka, Warsaw, Concord, Northridge, and Northwood. The beat Plymouth and Wawasee. Sophia Yordy Led the team finishing 9th followed by Sophia Koshmider 25th, Jackie Sixtos 33rd, Rylee Weishaupt 46th, Kassidy Bestul 51st, Mara Schrock 53rd, and Carmen Pedraza 55th. The boys team defeated Mishawaka,Warsaw, Concord, Northridge, Northwood, Plymouth, and Wawasee. Drew Hogan led the team taking the individual title followed by Tommy Claxton 2nd, Cole Johnston 3rd, Adrian Mora 16th, Ryan Diaz 21st, Oliver Biek 34th, and Jackson Gaby 47th.
- The RedHawk girls Varsity golf played in a dual match Tuesday night against Concord and Warsaw at Stonehenge. Briza Tayagua-Delgado led Goshen with a 49. Goshen fell to both Concord and Warsaw with a team score of 214 for Varsity. JV fell to only Warsaw by one stroke with a score of 235. Haylee Evans led JV and shot a personal best of 50.
- The RedHawks boys varsity soccer team lost to the visiting Elkhart Lions, by a score of 0-2. The loss puts Goshen’s overall record at 1-2, and 1-1 in the NLC.
- The RedHawks boys JV soccer team hosted the Elkhart Lions on Tuesday, September 1 and tied them with a final score of 2-2. Scoring for the JV were Julio Valdez and Tomas Hernandez. There was one assist in the game. The tie puts Goshen’s overall record at 1-2-0 overall, and 0-1-0 in the NLC.
- The boys tennis team opened their NLC schedule with a close 3-2 win over Warsaw on the road Tuesday. Pi Wellington cruised 6-0, 6-1 at 1 Singles. Isaac Stahly won 10 straight games to close out a 6-3, 6-0 win at 3 Singles. And the 2 doubles pair of Will Nisley and Cormac Koop Liechty won the clinching point 7-5, 7-5 in their match. The JV improved their record to 3-1 by a score of 7-4. Evan Hochstedler, Erich Schramm, Joel Byler, Soroosh Kermani, Wyatt Hernley, and Andy Eby all won their matches without dropping a single game.
- The Goshen Girls Varsity Soccer team lost a conference game 2-6 at Warsaw. Goal scorers were Natalie May and Joya Drenth. Goshen’s record is 1-3 overall and 1-2 in the conference.
- The Goshen Girls JV soccer team lost 1-2 to Warsaw. The goal was scored by Melanie Herrera and assisted by Astrid Reyes. Their overall record is 1-3, and their conference record is 1-2.

Limited Contact for GHS Swimming and Diving begins today, every Tuesday and Thursday from 4:15-6:15 at the Aquatics Center. Please be sure your physical and required forms are completed and turned in to the Athletic Office prior to attending Limited Contact.
All boys not currently in a Fall Sport who are interested in playing basketball this year are welcome to start attending workouts on Tuesday, September 8, from 3:45-5:30 PM in the Main Gym. See Coach Wohlford in room 1515 with any questions. To attend you must have all paperwork submitted to the Athletic Office. See Mrs. Schrock or Mr. Miller for help.
