IB course information:

The International Baccalaureate Diploma Program is a demanding, two-year program of curriculum and service that meets the needs of highly motivated secondary students. The Diploma Program offers a comprehensive and integrated approach to learning that prepares students for rigorous assessments in six subject areas during grades 11 and 12. Students must also complete a minimum of 150 hours in Creativity, Action, and Service activities, a 4,000-word essay of original research, and a Theory of Knowledge course. The International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) awards its diploma to students who perform successfully on the six external examinations and fulfill all other requirements of the program at an authorized IB world school. It is recognized as the highest diploma currently offered by any high school in the world.

Elkhart Area Career Center Information

Goshen High School students in the 11th and 12th grade have the opportunity to attend the Elkhart Area Career Center located
at 2424 California Road, Elkhart. Built in 1970, its purpose is to provide vocational training for youth and adults in northern Indiana
and lower Michigan.
After an application has been submitted and approved, students have the option of attending the Career Center in the morning
or afternoon. Bus transportation is provided only for the afternoon class with the student leaving the high school at 11:30 to attend
Career Center classes from 12:15 to 3:00 p.m. The student returns to Goshen High School at 3:40 p.m. Three credits are earned per
semester in the vocational class. Both parents and students are encouraged to investigate this educational opportunity as it is a
full year commitment.
