ANNOUNCEMENTS:
This week is Bob Evans Give Back week! They will donate 15% of their sales to GHS. This works for carry out and dine in. You can pick up a coupon in the main office or you can just simply tell them it is for GHS. This is for the entire week, and it applies to ALL sales, not just the specials listed on the coupon. Take the family out for food and fun anytime between now-Sunday and help earn money for GHS!
The Ultimate Frisbee Club meets after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:45-5:00 p.m. on the administration field. If you’re interested in learning how to play the sport of Ultimate Frisbee, you can pick up your required paperwork from Mr. Snyder in the choir office, Lucas Kauffman, or in the main office. The paperwork should be turned in the first time you attend.
This is the 4th and final week of GHS’s Month of Compassion Humanity Project. Please continue to donate coats, hats, gloves and non-perishable foods. Students in the Multicultural Youth Alliance will collect the donations from around the school during SRT on Thursday. This week’s prize for the SRT, team or club with the most donations will be AUTHENTIC MEXICAN TACOS, so keep bringing in your donations!
The guidance office has now has the Kiwanis Scholarship. Stop in and check out #scholarshiprow for more info.
GHS will be hosting a Red Cross blood drive on Friday. Sign-ups are happening now in social studies classes. See Mrs. Clark in room 2280 if you have questions.
The Goshen Public Library doesn’t just lend books! We also offer FREE activities for young adults. Stop in on Thursdays after school from 4:00-6:00 p.m. to hang out, study, find an independent reading book, play a board game, color or just chillax at the teen café! And, of course, we’ll also have hot chocolate and coffee. This Thursday is our Pages & Popcorn Club from 5:30-8:00 p.m. We’ll talk about the crazy-popular final installation of the Hunger Games series, Mockingjay. We’ll watch Part I, eat snacks, talk about the book and you will have a chance to win tickets to see Part II! Finally, our regular programming will conclude this month with the Crafty Bandits on Monday, November 23rd from 4:00-6:00 p.m. where we’ll learn about modern art by making some cool coasters. Stay In Bounds Ambassador visits are this week today and/or Thursday. Please remember to have your “Do As I Say” commands written out for each ambassador so that you can make your visit. Come to the welcome center immediately after 2nd period to check out for your visits with Mr. Kissinger.
Cafeteria News: Today – lines 1, 2 and 3 will be serving pizza, green beans, tossed salad and pears. Tomorrow, the GHS cafeteria will be celebrating Thanksgiving on lines 1, 2 and 3. We will have turkey, mashed potatoes/gravy, homemade stuffing, corn, tossed salad, roll/butter, pumpkin pie dessert and an apple. Line 4 will have bosco sticks/marinara, corn, salad, pumpkin dessert and an apple.

MEETINGS DURING SRT:
The Human Rights/Stop Human Trafficking Club will meet TODAY during the 2nd session of SRT in room 2350. The group’s goal this year is to have students interested in stopping modern slavery to meet, educate themselves and engage in activities to increase local awareness.
There will be a short meeting for all softball players that are trying out for the 2016 season in the main gym on Tuesday, November 24th during the 2nd session of SRT.
There will be a call out meeting for anyone interested playing baseball for GHS this spring during the 2nd session of SRT on Tuesday, November 24th in the library classroom.

IN SPORTS ACTION TODAY:
The girls JV and varsity basketball teams will compete at Mishawaka Marian. The JV game begins at 6:00 p.m., followed by varsity at 7:30 p.m.
The girls freshman basketball team will host Westview at 6:30 p.m.
