Students who plan on attending Merit summer school:  Enrollment started this week and will continue until spots are filled.  Sessions will run Monday, June 6th thru Thursday, June 30th.  You must attend ALL sessions until your class is complete.  Morning or afternoon sessions are available.  The cost is $50, and you will only be able to complete one class.  You must meet with your Guidance counselor to do the on-line enrollment.  A bill for payment will be emailed to you.  Information forms are now available in the Guidance office, so don’t delay!

This past Saturday, the Goshen Symphonic Orchestra earned a Gold medal with distinction for their performance at Chesterton HS in the ISSMA State Qualifiers.  Congratulations on a very musical performance!

Congratulations to the Advanced Choir and Men’s Choir for qualifying for the Indiana State Finals!  The Men’s Choir will perform this Friday in Indianapolis at 8:40 p.m., and the Advanced Choir will perform this Saturday in Indianapolis at 7:02 p.m.

IHSAA Student-Athlete Tip of the Week:  Legendary golfer Jack Nicklaus was quoted in Sports Illustrated saying, “How many 22-year-olds ask anybody for advice?”  He was impressed about the surprising trend of young PGA Tour players visiting him in search of tips.  Who do you look to for advice outside of your parents or coaches?  Have you ever thought about reaching out to a former player in your community for a tip or two?  Whether you are 15 or 22, you are never too young to keep learning.  Seeking advice from someone older that has experience in your sport could give you a different philosophy and viewpoint on how to improve your game!

Attention Juniors and Seniors:  Prom tickets are now on sale during lunches Tuesday-Friday through May 13th for $35 each, payable by cash or check.  The price will increase to $45 the week of prom, so get your tickets now!
