IHSAA Student-Athlete Tip of the Week: With the new school year in full bloom and fall sports taking shape, are you doing a good job of prioritizing what your goals are for this school year? Is it different than last year? What did you learn last year that is guiding your decision making so far this year? Having been in your shoes before, and speaking on behalf of many other athletes and coaches, your order of priority, when it comes to being a successful student-athlete, should be the following: First comes the classroom and your academic progress (develop great study habits). Second, dedicate yourself to the sport you are presently playing or plan to play. Third, balance your social life and social activities (sacrifices need to be made). The student-athletes that do the best job of balancing these three different challenges have the best chance of becoming the student-athletes that teachers, high school coaches and potential college coaches admire the most!
The Next Generation Hoosier Educators Scholarship is now available in the guidance department.
Homework help is available every Thursday in the media center from 3:45-5:00 p.m. A bus will be available around 5:10 p.m. if you need a ride home. It will pick you up at the south end of circle drive by the flag pole. This is a great opportunity if you just need a little extra time or even just a quiet place to do your homework at the end of the day.
Picture retakes will be TOMORROW! Picture retake forms are available in the Main Office from Mrs. Wolfe if you did not have your picture taken the first day of school. If you did have your pictures taken and you want retakes, you need to bring your other pictures back in to the photographer. Even if you are NOT ordering pictures, if you missed picture day on the first day you MUST get your picture taken!
Just a reminder that if you are coming to see Ms. Tovar we have a new procedure. You need to check in with the staff in the main office and fill out a request to see her.
