Goshen High School’s annual Month of Compassion is October 24th through November 22nd. These four weeks of philanthropy allow GHS students and staff to help others through their donations of coats, hats, gloves, canned foods and other non-perishable items. All donations will benefit students of Goshen Community Schools. Donated items can be brought to SRT classrooms, and weekly prizes will be awarded to the SRT with the most. Thanks, GHS, for your giving!

Girls swimming and diving season begins Monday, October 24th. Any girls who are interested in participating need to make sure they have all of their paperwork completed and turned into the athletic department by TOMORROW. Everything will be handed out the first day of practice. If you have any questions, e-mail Coach Long.
Beginning after Fall Break, we will no longer be issuing Temporary IDs. Every student must be wearing a plastic ID card at all times. New cards will be sold for $1 each. If you do not have $1, your name will be added to a list. You will still be responsible for paying that $1 within a week of receiving it to Mrs. Wolfe in the Main Office, otherwise you must serve a detention. Mrs. Wolfe will notify those students who have not paid for their ID’s the day before their scheduled detention. Lanyards will still be $1 if they wish to purchase one. If not, your ID will be given to you on a piece of string.
The volleyball team hosts West Noble TONIGHT for Fan Appreciation Night and Senior Night. Our seniors will be honored before the varsity game and all student fans in attendance will be offered two free slices of pizza between games 1 and 2 of the varsity match.
IHSAA Student-Athlete Tip of the Week: Are you an athlete that enjoys practice as much as the games? Do you realize how important practices are to your coaches? Do you work hard in practice or just show up and put in your time? Practice time is your opportunity to show your coaches what you are made of. Are you prepared each day? Do you work your hardest? Do you take instruction in a positive way? Is your attitude good, day in and day out? All athletes like performing on game day. However, it’s the ones that perform during practice that become the most trusted in the eyes of the coaching staff. Practice each day like it is the most important game of the season. By doing so, you show your coaches that you can be counted on when the next game begins!
Do you want to experience being a college student for a day? Sign up for a visit to Goshen College on November 4th. Permission slips are located from Ms. Gomez in room 2370 or from Ms. Tovar in the main office and are due by TOMORROW! Limited space is available. Students will be picked on a first come, first serve basis with priority to juniors and seniors.
Super Mileage Club will meet from 3:40-5:00 p.m. on October 25th. We will not meet on October 18th during fall break.
GHS will host a Red Cross blood drive TOMORROW from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the main gym. Thank you to all who have signed up to donate. Please check your email for important reminders.
