Seniors:  Thanks for all you have done to make GHS a great place over the past four years!  Mr. Kissinger will read your names at graduation.  The list he has may or may not have your middle name, it may or may not all the surnames you would like and, of course, is not sounded out phonetically for him.  For this reason, he will make himself available with the list several times this week for you to help him pronounce your name correctly.  He will be at the stairs by the weight room during lunch TODAY, he will be in the commons outside the cafeteria for lunch tomorrow and he will attend graduation practice briefly.  Please try to take care of this during one of the lunch periods if at all possible.  Thanks again for four really impressive years!

All current freshmen, sophomores and juniors interested in participating in a sport next school year will need a new physical exam for participation.  All physical paperwork can be picked up from the athletic office or found on line.  Please take care of this right away.

IHSAA Student-Athlete Tip of the Week:  In looking back at your classroom and sports performance this past school year, what have you learned about yourself?  Hopefully you tasted some success and learned from your mistakes.  But more importantly, I hope you have developed a work ethic and attitude that will benefit you going forward.  Eleven-time Grand Slam tennis champion Novak Djokovic admitted in Sports Illustrated that “there were days and times of my career when I went through a lot of doubt.”  So whether you are a graduating senior or just starting your high school experience, know there will be tough times and a lot of doubt.  No student-athlete is exempt!  Not even the most successful ones.
