GHS ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR THURSDAY, AUGUST 4, 2016

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

If you plan to attend the Boys & Girls Club this year, please meet in room 8030 after school today.

The Ultimate Frisbee Club meets after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:45-5:00 p.m. on the administration field, starting next week. If you’re interested in learning how to play the sport of Ultimate Frisbee, you can pick up your required paperwork from Mr. Snyder in the choir office, Mr. Brubaker, Lucas Kauffman, or Mrs. Stealy in the main office. The paperwork should be turned in to Lucas Kauffman the first time you attend.

There are still a few positions open on the girls golf team. Come and be part of history as we play our first season as the Lady RedHawks! Contact Coach Hire at ghire@goshenschools.org if you have any interest.

The girls golf team came in 11^th place at the Kingsmen Invite. The girls played 18 holes at a very challenging Knollwood on a very hot day. The leading scorer for Goshen was Olivia Lehr with a 111.

The Lady RedHawks had another hot day on the links at Pretty Lake Country Club in Plymouth. The team finished 9^th with a score of 252. Olivia Thomas led the team with a 58 followed by Olivia Lehr shooting a 59. South Bend St. Joe won the event with a score of 182. After three straight days of playing in intense heat, Coach Hire is ready for the girls to take a breather as classes start today. Today’s practice will simply be two hours of putting.
