ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Goshen Police Department has received complaints of speeding on Jefferson St. between 5th and 11th both before and after school. Please be aware that speeding violations will be enforced.
Reminder: If you need to put money on your lunch account you can make payments in the cafeteria at lunch. The bookkeeper is no longer taking lunch money deposits. You can also go to www.myschoolbucks.com.

All students are encouraged to show their GHS pride by wearing their RedHawk apparel TODAY. You might even be find yourself in the 2015-2016 yearbook!
The 2017 Distinguished Young Woman of Elkhart Scholarship program awards over $13,000 in cash and college scholarships. Any junior girl from the class of 2017, who has plans for college, is eligible. IHSAA Student-Athlete Tip of the Week: A recent survey of 410 human resource professionals shows that 36% of companies in the U.S. have disqualified job candidates because of concerning information on social media/online search. Just this past week an ESPN employee was terminated for an ill-advised post on his Twitter account. Do you get the picture? You must be aware at all times of what you are posting and talking about on social media. Most student-athletes don’t realize how serious the consequences might be for something they deem non-important when voicing their opinions and thoughts on social media. Your actions today can affect your future of tomorrow. Don’t be careless or thoughtless with your words!

Students who did not pick up senior products last week will have one additional chance. Jostens will return Tuesday, May 3rd from 7:45-8:25 a.m. Once again only cash or money orders will be accepted as payment. After hours homework help for any class is now available! On Mondays and Wednesdays you can meet in the media center after school until 5:00 p.m.
The Ultimate Frisbee Club meets after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:45-5:00 p.m. on the administration field. If you’re interested in learning how to play the sport of Ultimate Frisbee, you can pick up your required paperwork from Lucas Kauffman, Mr. Brubaker, Mr. Snyder in the choir office or from Mrs. Stealy in the main office. The paperwork should be turned in the first time you attend.
Cottage Garden (registered Assisted Living home) is looking for students exploring a career in nursing, social work, recreational therapy, art or music! We are an elder-centered home committed to fostering connections with family, the community, nature, art and music. Our small model and home setting allows caregivers to develop relationships, and provide meaningful activities in addition to assisting elders with activities of daily living. MEETINGS DURING SRT:
The final Key Club meeting will be on Thursday, May 5th during the 2nd session of SRT.
SPORTS SCORES:
The girls varsity softball team lost to Concord 9-1 in a NLC contest. Goshen struggled offensively and only produced one run in the first inning. Kate Atkinson hit a triple in the first inning and scored when Ashton Darnell drove in the only run.
The boys varsity baseball team defeated Concord 2-1. Joey Peebles picked up his second win of the season on the mound with a complete game three hitter striking out five and walking none. Michael Pinarski had a double and a single and Robbie Riegsecker had two singles.
The boys JV baseball team defeated Concord 8-3. Austin Cain pitched the complete game win allowing only four hits and walking zero. Cain, along with Mitchell Walters and Bryant Robinson each had two hits for the RedHawks.
As they continued their NLC play, the girls JV softball team fell to Concord to drop to 7-5 (2-2) on the season. Gabby Ott led the RedHawks defense with two hits including a double. Lindsey Camacho was able to score two of the three runs and stole a base as well.
IN SPORTS ACTION TODAY:
The boys JV and varsity golf teams will host Central Noble at 5:00 p.m.
The boys JV and varsity track and field teams will travel to Middlebury to compete against Northridge and Wawasee at 5:00 p.m.
The girls JV and varsity softball teams will host Mishawaka at 5:00 p.m.
The girls JV and varsity tennis teams will host Concord at 5:00 p.m.
