GHS ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR TUESDAY, DECEMBER 5, 2017
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Key Club will be ringing bells at Walmart Supercenter on the south side of Goshen Friday, December 8th from 5-9:00 p.m. and Saturday, December 9th from 2-4:00 p.m. Students and staff, please consider donating to the Salvation Army during our bell ringing shifts. IHSAA Student-Athlete Tip of the Week: Wisconsin linebacker Garrett Dooley was quoted in the Indy Star as saying, “If you have a bad play, you have to forget about it. I think this year we’ve done a really good job of forgetting about last season and moving forward, preparing every single week.” In all sports and in most games or matches, there comes a time when you must move on from a bad play, a bad call or an unlucky break. Are you capable of doing so? Although there is no simple answer on how to move on, I will suggest that controlling your emotions is the key. Having a short-term memory on a bad play or tough call will help get you focused and keep your emotions intact on the next play. Athletes who can concentrate on the play ahead instead of looking back will be the ones that are the most successful!
Girls’ Golf will hold open gym in the warehouse on Thursdays from 7:45-8:30 p.m. Bring your clubs and make sure to dress warm if the temperature outside is cold! Contact Coach Walesa or Coach Pecenka if you have any questions. We hope to see you there!
Sign-ups for intramural basketball will continue through Friday, December 22nd. The cost is $8 per person, and you must have a concussion form on file with the athletic office. Individual sign up forms, and team sign up forms can be picked up from Lucas Kauffman, or the athletic office. All forms and money must be turned in to Mr. Kauffman before December 22nd. If you have questions, please e-mail Lucas Kauffman.
