SPORTS SCORES:

The tennis team upped their win streak to four matches with a 4-1 win over Westview that was much closer than it sounds.  With the exception of Hugh Birky’s 2 & 0 win at 2 Singles, all the other varsity matches could have gone either way and required performances under pressure to pull out the win.  Jacob Grewe at 1 Singles overcame a 0-4 deficit in the 2nd set to win six straight games and close out the victory.  On the JV side, Wes Beck, Drake Crowder and Ben Bontrager-Singer each blanked their opponent.  Axel Brown and Braxton Kincaid at 3 JV doubles also beat the 1 doubles team.

It was a tough night for the Lady RedHawks at Maplecrest Country Club, their home course. They dropped two matches, losing to Plymouth and Northridge.  The Goshen Girls had a 250 while Plymouth shot 197 and Northridge posted a 203.  Olivia Thomas again led the team shooting a 56.

In their first home game of the season last night the Goshen girls soccer team remained undefeated with a 3-0 win over Mishawaka Marian.  Aylissa Trosper, Anne Nisley and Kyrah Fletcher scored for the Lady RedHawks.  Aniya Hartzler had a strong game in the midfield assisting on all three goals.  The stands where packed for a great game!  Thanks to everyone who came out to support the girls.  The JV team defeated Marian 1-0 on a goal by Jocelyn Valderama.

The boys varsity soccer team tied with Elkhart Memorial 1-1.  Lucas Bontrager scored a goal for Goshen.
