Goshen High School and Edward Jones are proud to announce the student-athlete of the month award to recognize athletic and academic excellence.  A senior male and female student-athlete will be selected from August – May each school year.  At the end of the year, a $500 scholarship will be awarded to one male and one female student athlete of the month, as selected by the GHS head coaching staff.

The winners of the Edward Jones Student-Athlete of the Month Award for Ma y are:

-Leah Shetler:  Leah is the daughter of Dale and Angie Shetler. Leah was 10-0 in May at 2 Doubles. This includes winning the NLC Tournament, being named All-Conference, and being on the only winning court at Regionals for our sectional champion sectional tennis team. Leah plans to attend Valparaiso University and major in Biology and Chemistry.  She wants to become a pediatrician.

-Cristian Barron: Cristian is the son of Juana Lopez and Jaime Barron. He set new school record in the 300 IH at 40.27 as well as a Foreman Field record for a GHS athlete at 40.33. He was sectional champion and named all NLC in leading the boys to 4^th place in the NLC. Cristian plans to attend Trine University and major in Biology.
