Stay In Bounds Ambassadors
Stay In Bounds Ambassadors are a group of student-athletes that visit 4th-grade classrooms to teach character principles. Ambassadors meet once per month to develop lesson plans for teaching character principles to 4th graders. They visit all Goshen Community Schools’ 4th-grade classrooms and St. John’s once per month with different lessons.
Community Service
Football & Softball Food Drive
One of the things that we think is important about being a member of any athletic program, is the opportunity to give back. The Goshen Football & Softball programs have given back to our community by helping pack food with the Knights of Columbus, volunteering at the Elkhart County Fair, hosting blood drives, and holding youth camps.
There is an Annual Goshen Football & Softball Community Give Back to help support and sponsor Goshen students and their families for the holidays.
How do you sponsor a family? Monetary donations are collected so players can shop for food to be used over the holiday break for several families. This is a great opportunity to help serve people in our own community, especially throughout the holiday season. Our service project will not only help those families in need but will also benefit our players working together to achieve a common goal for others. This has nothing to do with winning or losing games but has everything to do with helping others less fortunate.
Where do you fit in? We are asking all football and softball players and parents to help try to raise money thru donations. Then as a group, we will go shopping and pack boxes of food for our Goshen families. If every player could raise or donate $10-$20, we could really help many families in our community have a happy holiday season.
Where to send your monetary donations? All monetary donations can be dropped off at the welcome center during prescribed hours. If donating by check, please make it payable to Goshen High School.
