Attention ceramics students from spring semester last school year:  Please pick up your work on the back porch of the ceramics room in 1450.  There are many very nice pieces that you probably would want to have. We will be getting rid of them if you don’t get them by next week.  It would be a lovely gift to someone if you don’t want them!

TONIGHT’S theme for the football game is America. Students, show your school pride by dressing in red, white, and blue for Friday night’s football game against Fairfield. Go RedHawks! Crush the Falcons!

The boys soccer team is looking for a couple of managers. If you are interested please see, or e-mail Lucas Kauffman.

Do you want to get involved at school? The theater department might be good for you! Drama Club is a chance to act with upperclassman, teachers, and special guests with first-hand experience! The Drama Club will host it’s 2018-2019 call-out meeting on Thursday, August 23rd in the auditorium after school. If you have any questions please contact Mrs. Long in room 1400 or see senior Danielle Horn.

WORK PERMITS: When you get a work permit EVERY box needs to be filled out on the Intent to Employ form before we will issue you the work permit. Please bring completed forms to the main office in the morning and they will be completed by the end of the school day.

YOU MUST BE STAYING AFTER SCHOOL FOR SOMETHING TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS – The GHS cafeteria is offering free after school snacks every day after school.  This program is for any student who is staying after school. All student-athletes, club members, music participants, drama participants, after school homework help kids, etc. are strongly encouraged to stop by the cafeteria after school and take advantage of this generous opportunity.  Students just need to show their ID and they can grab a healthy snack to go that will hold them over during their after school activities until dinner.  The cafeteria will stay open until 3:55 p.m. to hand out the snacks. All students picking up the healthy snack after school will need to eat their snack in the cafeteria.  We appreciate your cooperation with this adjustment that is mandated by the state of Indiana in order to continue this program.

If you are a student that leaves the building at any time during normal school hours then you must have a sticker on your ID if it’s for a class (PACT, Building Trades, EACC, Merit, shortened schedules, Red Zone, internship, yearbook, etc.) that indicates that or a blue pass from the office indicating that you have permission to leave. Building Trades, EACC and Red Zone students are also required to sign out at the Welcome Center before leaving. You can get this sticker in the main office from Mrs. Wolfe or Mrs. Kuiper.

The GHS activity ID is the best deal for entry to athletic events.  See Mrs. Haney in the main office with $40 for an activity ID, which also gets you discounts to dances and some concerts.  We are also offering a five game pass for $20 which can be purchased from Athletics, but it does not work for varsity football.
