Goshen High School Marine Biology Course Day 5

Aaron needs a bit of encouragement from Mama J. At the arthropod lecture.

Arriving at the quarry. Lana finds a comb jelly.

Today, April 5, was the coldest of the days we've spent in Florida. The wind kept us from taking excursions in the boat, so groups went to the quarry, channels, and mangroves. First year students had their last seminar of the week, so the rest of the week is left to do bookwork, finish group presentations, and relax. Second year students continued to work on experiments, look for specimens, and go on excursions with their eating groups. Tonight students were finishing their bookwork, with plans of going to bed early due to 5 a.m. wake-up call for an excursion to John Pennicamp State Park.

Snorkeling at the quarry. Back at Star of the Sea catching up on our bookwork.

Where are all the students? Kevin, Aaron, and Alex at the quarry.

The instructors snorkeling.
