Goshen High School Marine Biology Course Day 2

After a long nights sleep, day 2 (Sunday) began. After breakfast those of us who wanted to participate in the worship service did so. Mr. Weaver along with Joe Miller and Lana Miller spoke to us. The morning seminar started soon after. Once lunch was over, the groups began their excursions. Some of the places the groups went were the quarry, the mangroves, and the grassy/mud flats. This was the first time for some students to snorkel and the students had a lot of fun collecting specimens. A few of the things collected were: sting ray, octopus, many different crabs, measled cowry, tulip shell, brittle stars, and sea urchins. Supper was up to each eating group and the rest of the evening was spent studying. The beach was pretty quiet as most students were in their rooms until 8:30 pm working on their books. At 9:00 pm the volleyball court was lit up and some fierce playing took place. Lights out at 12:00!
