Goshen High School Marine Biology Course Day 1

We arrived at the motel around 11:00 am. Students excitedly filed off the bus. Some rooms were available and some were not quite ready. The bus was unloaded and luggage was unpacked. Many things were set up and the COOKIES were put into rooms for future consumption.

After Mr. Weaver gave out guidelines including, "If it's yellow let it mellow, if it's brown flush it down" referring to water conservation, we all ate lunch. Then we headed out for a fun-filled day of snorkeling, kayaking, and canoeing. Others chose to spend the day just relaxing in the sun or playing a competitive, fun-filled volleyball game. As the evening progressed, we ate our supper. After dinner we then went to an informational seminar about precautions. Mr. Weaver told the students about past mishaps. (Don't worry parents your children are safe) As the night wore down kids began to scatter and disappear. Some returned to their rooms for long awaited showers while others chose to play a game of volleyball. Overall it was a great day.
