Thursday (Day 9)

Yesterday was a great day to relax and just enjoy this place. Today it is back to work -- crunch day when the students have to get to any habitats they missed before; do any of the final collecting or water testing on their assigned habitat; work on completing their workbooks; and get together in their eating groups to plan and practice their final report for tomorrow afternoon.

It is yet another bright and clear day today, although a little breezy so there is a bit more chop out on the ocean.

Didn't get too many pictures around the place today -- students were either scattered to the winds in various habitats or in their rooms working on projects.

Here are just a few pics from around supper time.

Tonight after the BBQ almost the entire group got on their long pants and sweatshirts, slathered on the bug juice, loaded onto the busses and vans, and are off to the Everglades and a night with the alligators. I asked Leena and Paul to take pictures tonight. They won't be back until very late tonight, but I hope to retrieve their cameras and post those pictures here tomorrow morning.

BTW, if you missed them, Dan Graber's pics of the fishing trip (and a few pics of a habitat study group) are now posted on Tuesday's Page.
