Days 4 -- Down to business!

Enough playing around! Today we have a "normal" schedule, which means some serious study (even if the classroom is a little different)! Here is the first set of pics for the day:

'Classroom' pics and fun in the "pool"

After lunch this afternoon is a bit of time to relax and study then, later, each of the eating groups is off for their first exploration of the habitat to which they have been assigned. Here is a second set of pics from early afternoon. Looks like a pretty tough life, eh?

2nd set of pics, early afternoon

Students spent an afternoon of excursions to the various habitats. 2nd and 3rd year students collected algae specimens and helped Carl set up the tanks for the algae seminars. Then while students worked together to bring their workbooks up to date, some of the adult got the grill going for the: BBQ chicken. You will see that they needed a lot of supervision!

3rd set of pics, late afternoon

Now we have a relaxing evening scheduled. I think there is some scheming to get in some night-time snorkeling, and there should be some volleyball as well! We will see how the night-time pictures come out... : Sand-Volleyball under the lights.

(BTW, if you don't mind backtracking, the pics from Friday are up now.)
