Day 10 -- our last full day

6 AM and some VERY sleepy young people are loading onto the vehicles for the short trip to the rocky coast habitat. Things were more cheerful when the sun got up too. (We usually study this habitat late at night but the low-tide times weren't cooperating very well.) Still, we saw lots of octopi, brittle stars, crabs, loads of lobster -- too bad they are out of season right now.

Here are some pics of the Rocky Coast Habitat trip

Then it was time for breakfast while a few of us took the boat out to SCUBA around the corals one last time. Now everyone is hard at work on their final project of the week: a creative report of their habitats.

We have a common meal this evening trying to use up a good part of the food that is left (which includes some mighty fine fish from the fishing trip). So we fired up the grill for brats and fish and hamburgers. We moved the report time to 6PM so we could better see the projected powerpoint presentations.

Here are the pictures of the final presentations!

Then with all the class-work out of the way its playtime until bedtime and hopefully a good sleep before everything is packed up and on the road again tomorrow.

The boat is back out of the water for another year and several of us will leave this evening after supper to start back to Indiana with it. Tonight's posts will be the last for this year. (We are packing up the computers and printer so no more email here either.)

Hope you enjoyed the show! See you all very soon back home.
