Monday, Day 5

Wow! That was quite the rain storm last night! Many of us woke up to hear the water beating down on the flat roof here at the hotel. The sunrise this morning sent beams down through the clouds, and by breakfast the sky was mostly clear and blue with a nice cool breeze. The water is pretty choppy yet, but we are hoping things settle down for the boat trips this afternoon over to the "grassy flats" and island coral reef habitats. And, Oh Joy! The tree trimmer people are back with the chain saw and coconut bombs.

The SCUBA class left early to finish out their certification requirements. If all goes well, they will be able to SCUBA dive Wednesday at the John Pennecamp State (underwater) Park.

The second-year students also left early this morning (outside appointments are all early now that the time has changed here but we are still on Goshen time). They will spend the morning on a field trip to the Dolphin Research Center. If Paul took his camera we should have some pictures later today.

Here is what is on the schedule for today for most of the students:

Day 5 Photos -- Set 1

Dolphins!

Day 5 Photos -- Set 2

More Underwater Shots!

Day 5 Photos -- Set 3
(I'm sure there is an explanation for some of these pictures ... somewhere!)
