What a beautiful day to be in the keys! Today was the first full day of work for the students. After breakfast, the group of students being certified for SCUBA were off for a certification dive, along with a number of other previously certified divers.

The rest of the students had a full morning of seminars and an afternoon of fieldwork in the study habitats, collecting and identifying specimens, using computers and electronic probes for water quality testing and working on their workbooks.

Supper included grilled chicken and baked potatoes for everyone. Many students continued their study after supper in their rooms or outside under the lights. But by 8 o'clock or so, things reverted to volleyball, sitting about chatting, or keeping up with the basketball games going on.

Oh, and as you can imagine, everyone is VERY sympathetic with your weather issues in Indiana!
