GHS ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR MONDAY, AUGUST 7, 2017                               

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

WORK PERMITS: When you get a work permit EVERY box needs to be filled out on the Intent to Employ form before we will issue you the work permit. Please bring completed forms to the main office in the morning and they will be completed by the end of the school day.

Fall play auditions for All Because of Agatha will be held on Wednesday, August 16th in the auditorium at 3:45 p.m.

The American Red Cross is offering Lifeguard Classes on the following dates and times. Classes may end earlier than projected, but will not go over the listed time. You can only miss one class. All candidates must be 15 by August 16th. You can sign up on the Aquatic Center website at aquatics.goshenschools.org under Lifeguarding Class Registration. The cost is $100 if it’s your first time. If you are recertifying the cost is $50. Please call the Aquatic Center for more details at 574-538-3201.

  • Tuesday, August 14th from 4:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
  • Wednesday, August 15th from 4:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
  • Thursday, August 16th from 4:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
  • Friday, August 17th from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, August 18th from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (recertification time)

Baseball will have Fall Open Fields starting TODAY from 4:00-6:00 p.m. for potential players who are not involved in a fall sport. If you have questions, email or see Coach Collins in the library.

The GHS cafeteria is offering free after school snacks every day after school.  This program is for any student who is staying after school. All student-athletes, club members, music participants, drama participants, after school homework help kids, etc. are strongly encouraged to stop by the cafeteria after school and take advantage of this generous opportunity.  Students just need to show their ID and they can grab a healthy snack to go that will hold them over during their after school activities until dinner.  The cafeteria will stay open until 3:55 p.m. to hand out the snacks.

The boys soccer team is looking for a few managers for the fall soccer season. For more information please e-mail Lucas Kauffman.

The Ultimate Frisbee Club will meet every weather permitting Tuesday and Thursday from 3:45-5:00 p.m. on the administration field across from door M. You can pick up required papers from Lucas Kauffman, Mr. Snyder in the choir office or Mrs. Stealy in the main office. All required papers need to be turned in to Lucas Kauffman by the first time you play.

The Lady RedHawks played at Noble Hawk Golf Course in the East Noble Invitational on Saturday. They shot a team 473 finishing 11th out of twelve teams. They were led by senior Olivia Thomas with a 110. New transfer, Cat Hoover finished 2nd with a 117.
