GHS ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 20, 2015
This week is Bob Evans Give Back week! They will donate 15% of their sales to GHS. This works for carry out and dine in. You can pick up a coupon in the main office or you can just simply tell them it is for GHS. This is for the entire week, and it applies to ALL sales, not just the specials listed on the coupon. Take the family out for food and fun anytime between now-Sunday and help earn money for GHS!
The Ultimate Frisbee Club meets after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:45-5:00 p.m. on the administration field. If you’re interested in learning how to play the sport of Ultimate Frisbee, you can pick up your required paperwork from Mr. Snyder in the choir office, Lucas Kauffman, or in the main office. The paperwork should be turned in the first time you attend.
The guidance office has now has the Kiwanis Scholarship. Stop in and check out #scholarshiprow for more info.
The Goshen Public Library doesn’t just lend books! We also offer FREE activities for young adults. Stop in on Thursdays after school from 4:00-6:00 p.m. to hang out, study, find an independent reading book, play a board game, color or just chillax at the teen café! And, of course, we’ll also have hot chocolate and coffee. Our regular programming will conclude this month with the Crafty Bandits on Monday from 4:00-6:00 p.m. where we’ll learn about modern art by making some cool coasters. Sports Performance will be offered for all athletes not in a winter sport starting after Thanksgiving through Christmas break. It will be offered on Mondays and Thursdays from 4-5:00 p.m. in the Warehouse. You should change in the commons bathrooms and take all your things with you over to the Warehouse. If there are questions, contact Coach Clark or Coach Smeltzer. You must have a sports physical and concussion paperwork on file with the Athletic Department before participating.
If you ordered a class ring from Herff Jones they will be here on Tuesday before school outside the main office to deliver them.
MEETINGS DURING SRT:
There will be a short meeting for all softball players that are trying out for the 2016 season in the main gym on Tuesday during the 2nd session of SRT.
There will be a call out meeting for anyone interested playing baseball for GHS this spring during the 2nd session of SRT on Tuesday in the library classroom.

The Lady Redskins C basketball team achieved their first win of the season against the Lady Cavemen, 23-13. Leading scorers were Breanna Boocher with 12 points and Courtney Sloop with five.
IN SPORTS ACTION TODAY:
The girls JV and varsity basketball teams will travel to Westview. JV plays at 6:00 p.m., followed by varsity at 7:30 p.m.
The boys JV wrestling team will compete in the West Noble Invitational at 9:00 a.m.
The girls varsity swim/dive team will host the Goshen Relays at 10:00 a.m.
