On Sunday, November 2nd, there will be a ceremony at Goshen High School beginning at 2:00 to welcome home the Boys Soccer state finalist team. Doors will open at 1:30 p.m. and you many enter any door around the main gym or Door M.
This is open to all community members and will be held in the main gym. Please meet at 1:15 p.m. in the Kroger parking lot if you would like to take part in the procession that will include the Boys Soccer team with Goshen Police and Fire department escorts. Come out and help us recognize the team’s great success this season!
Another great Saturday for GHS athletic teams in state tournament play! Congratulations to our boys Cross Country team on their 4th place finish at SemiState, which earns them a trip to the state meet in Terre Haute on 11/1/14 at 1:45. The girls CC team competed well in finishing 13th at SemiState.
The boys soccer team won the Warsaw SemiState by defeating #1 ranked and undefeated Chesteron 2-0 in the AM and then returning in the evening for an unbelievable 3rd shootout win in this tournament series run. The boys will play Indianapolis Brebeuf for the class 2A state championship on Saturday, 11/1/14 at 3:30 PM at IUPUI’s Carrol Stadium. The boys are 19-2-1. The Goshen girls lost a heart breaking 1-0 SemiState semifinal game to FW Carroll and finish the year at 18-2-1.

The Boys Soccer team defeated #1 ranked and undefeated Chesterton 2-0 at the Warsaw SemiState on Saturday AM. The 18-2-1 boys play FW Homestead at 7 PM at Warsaw HS tonight in the SemiState championship. A win will put the boys in the class 2A championship game!
The Boys CC team placed 4th at the New Haven SemiState meet out of 20 teams to advance to the state finals in Terre Haute next Saturday at 1:45.
The Girls Soccer team lost a 1-0 nailbiter to FW Carrol at the South Bend SemiState early this afternoon. The girls finish a record breaking season with an 18-2-1 record.
The Girls CC team placed 13th at the New Haven SemiState to finish a fine season. Thanks to all these coaches and student-athletes for their display of Redskin Pride throughout northern Indiana this fall!
Goshen High School is proud to announce that head girls soccer Coach Dan Graber and head boys soccer Coach Viratham Mounsithiraj have been honored by the Indiana Soccer Coaches Association as the District 2 Coach of the Year. Coach Graber and Coach Mounsithiraj are each the winningest head coach in Goshen High School soccer history for their gender sport.
Coach Graber is in his 13th season and has compiled a career record of 149-69-20, with 2 NLC championships, 3 sectional championships, and 1 regional championship. Coach Mounsithiraj is in his 11th season and has compiled a record of 124-56-22 with 2 NLC championships, 4 sectional championships, 2 regional championships, and 1 semistate championship.
Both coaches credit their staffs for this latest recognition. The girls staff includes: Varsity assistant: Kari Wildman, JV coaches: Tracy Swain and Yaneth Springer. The boys staff includes: Varsity assistant: Joe Sabo, JV coaches: Myron Bontreger and Matt Bjorkland. Congratulations to Coach Graber and Coach V, and the entire staff and all the players for this recognition.
The boys travel to Warsaw this Saturday to play #1 ranked and undefeated Chesterton HS in the semistate semifinals at 10 AM. The girls travel to South Bend St. Joseph HS on Saturday to play FW Carroll at noon in their semistate semifinal. Both championship games are scheduled for 7 PM.
