Student Resource Time
At GHS, we feel that making the school community smaller is an effective way to ensure success for our students. Student Resource Time (SRT) is one program that allows students time in their weekly schedule to receive tutoring and mentoring, participate in clubs and various organizations, make up tests, quizzes and assignments, meet with counselors, or work on remediation programs for areas in which students struggle.
Personal Attention
As incoming freshmen, every student is assigned to an SRT teacher much like
a homeroom. This teacher serves as their mentor for the next four years – scheduling,
goal setting as well as monitoring grade reports, attendance, and attitude(s).
When students are struggling, need to make up work, or other need to work
in any given subject area, teachers assign them to resource rooms for that
given subject.
