Goshen High School: model rocketry
Team America Student Launch Initiative Physics 2 Resources

Model Rocketry, used in a school setting, is an exciting way to develop science and engineering skills. Rocket projects at Goshen High School emphasize design, organization, and flight testing. Students use software, such as Apogee's RockSim, as a virtual testing ground for their ideas. Reliability and safety are emphasized in the design, construction, and preparation for a successful rocket flight. There are currently three different ways to get involved with rocketry at GHS: Team America Rocketry Challenge, NASA's Student Launch Initiative, and Physics 2.
Sandhawk Recovery

Goshen High School students Ezra Schrock, Abrin Schmucker, Paul Shetler, and Jesse Shirk-Byler proudly display a 2.1 inch diameter Sandhawk model after a successful practice flight to about 7600 ft. on a Pro 38 J330-15 rocket motor. Nov. 2003.
